MSEUF College of Arts and Humanities opened its doors to ISBB English Enthusiasts.
17 students who topped the English 10 Class were given the chance to be a part of the English Seminar held at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation’s AEC Little Theater, Sept. 30.
The culminating event was highlighted with the appearance of ABS-CBN news anchor Sol Aragones as the resource speaker for the said seminar, which was also attended by students from different high schools such as Maryhill College, Philippine Tong Ho Institute, Quezon National High School, and Mass Communications students from MSEUF.
Before the seminar, the students had taken a tour at the campus of MSEUF and were taught the cours- es offered at the university. Ms. Aragones shared her ex- periences on how she be- gan working at the industry of Public News Affairs.
The seminar included a simulation activity initiated by Ms. Aragones, where ISBB students Jette Salvacion and Natasha Abas participated in the on-the-spot newscasting.
Also, the students were given lectures on public speaking, and even the importance of proper grooming and posture in communicating with the audience. Each of the attendees participated in the prepared activities.
“You have to start with a crisp and delicious beginning, Ms. Aragones said.
The seminar lasted for 3 hours and ended with a photo- op with Ms. Sol Aragones.
